Training... it's what AJA does best!

Since 1981, AJA has striven to offer top-of-the-line professional jail training. Our Professional Development Seminar Calendar offers numerous comprehensive regional training opportunities specifically designed to meet the needs of jail personnel.

Fort Hays State University (FHSU) and AJA have joined together to offer our members high quality, high access online distance education undergraduate degree programs, graduate programs, and certificate options in the fields of Justice Studies and Security Management.

To help agencies provide their own in-house training, AJA offers several in-service training tools designed to address specific topics. AJA's Jail Operations Bulletins (JOBs) & JOB DVDs, and the Write it Right Quarterly(WIRQ) are designed to assist all jail personnel with the day-to-day issues that impact jail operations. Jail Managers Bulletins (JMBs) emphasize techniques and strategies to assist supervisors and managers.
